The world is divided into two types of people: those who are fascinated by superheroes, more specifically the Avengers, and those who are not. Well, for the latter, we are sure you will walk over to the other side soon!

For those who don’t know, the Avengers are superheroes from the popular Marvel series written by Stan Lee. He introduced the Avengers team to the world: Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, and Hawkeye. From the time these superheroes have made their way to Avengers games, comics, and movies, millions of people have become their fans.

It is mind boggling how these superheroes are not real and yet so many of us want to be like them; even a bit, if possible. What if we told you that you can be your own Avenger? What if we give you tricks to tap into Avenger-like powers? That would be awesome, right? There is a lot to be learned from each of these Marvel superhumans.

  • Calm and composed Captain America

Who is he? Captain America is one who has faced some of the toughest challenges. Yet, he manages his way out of most complications without messing things up. We are in awe of how he remains calm amid all the turbulence around him. During times of crisis, he gathers the Avengers team and emphasizes formulating a plan instead of showing up unprepared. He tries his best to not let emotions cloud his judgment. Even when he has to fight his closest friend Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, he does it to save the life of an old friend who was earlier subjugated by negative external forces. Captain America’s shield is like a metaphor of how he protects his hope of a better future.

What we can learn from him: To remain calm no matter what life throws at you.

  • Intellectual and resilient Iron Man

Who is he? Iron Man, who has quintessentially won the title of ‘the most favourite Avenger’ is a game-changer. Be it in Iron Man movies or the Avengers series, his innovative breakthroughs are enough to dazzle audiences. His confidence is often misunderstood as arrogance; but once he sets his mind on something he holds nothing back to make it happen. His resilience helps him outshine his opponents. His wry humour and ability to laugh off hurdles make him quite adorable.

What we can learn from him: Once you set your mind to something, you should see it through to the end.

  • Self-healing and humble Hulk

Who is he? Quite possibly, when one thinks of the Hulk, the first thing that comes to mind is his anger. Yes – anger is not a good quality to learn. However, the ability to manage anger and not allow it to overpower you is something to get inspired by. We have seen how damaging Hulk’s anger is, yet he learns to tame it and use it in his favour when the situation demands. In the movie, Avengers: Endgame, he strives to remain humble even when provoked. Though it may not have worked out in the way he would have wanted, it is clearly a sign of self-healing and self-control learned the hard way. If the Hulk can, you too can let go of your anger instead of holding on to it and allowing it to harm you.

What we can learn from him: Letting go of your anger is the best gift you can give yourself.

  • Tough to break Thor

Who is he? Thor, the demigod and guardian of Asgard, has won a million hearts. No matter which Avenger is your favourite, it will be difficult for you to deny an affinity for the son of Odin. Like him, his trials and tribulations are also beyond anything anyone can possibly go through. From Infinity War to Endgame, his personality experiences a huge downfall. This shows his human side, making him all the more relatable. When the Avengers team remind him of his purpose and true powers, he fights his inner demons to rise again. He takes Thanos head-on and does not let his vulnerability overshadow him. Similarly, you may come across people in your life who make you question your worth. It is natural to feel low at that time. However, with each experience, you have to keep strengthening your armour so that no one can break you.

What we can learn from him:  When others question your worth, stay true to yourself.

  • Brilliantly bold Black Widow

Who is she? Also known as Natasha Romanov, she is an expert in martial arts, espionage, and sniping. Black widow is a remarkable example of balancing feminine and masculine traits of one’s personality. From taming an angered Hulk in Avengers: Age of Ultron, to being willing to sacrifice her life for a soul stone in the Endgame, her boldness makes others respect her deeply. From her, we can learn to look challenges in the eye, and burn them to the ground by believing in our strengths.

What we can learn from her: To be bold and ready to face challenges head-on.

  • Highly observant Hawkeye

Who is he? Hawkeye is the Avenger who works his way through villainous forces with just a bow and arrow as his armor. His accuracy and speed come from keen observation. He is always aware of his surroundings and immediately knows when something is off. Hawkeye is simply unmatched in being task-oriented and mission-driven. He inspires us to be focused and perceptive in order to face any adversity that life may throw our way, both in personal and professional spheres.

What we can learn from him: Success can never elude you if you are task-oriented.
